# Getting Started

Simplify your workday with Glinks. Glinks transforms long URLs into short, memorable "go/" links. Originally an internal tool at Google, this extension lets you create go links for free for all teams and businesses. Let's get you started in two minutes:

### Install <a href="#setup" id="setup"></a>

Install the [Glinks extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/glinks-free-go-links-for/gciegpagokgfonmlmdecellbnhgebdlf) from the [Chrome Web Store](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/glinks-free-go-links-for/gciegpagokgfonmlmdecellbnhgebdlf).

After you install the extension, a setup page will open.

Follow the instructions and complete the setup. You are now ready to start using go links.

### Use Your First Go Link <a href="#use" id="use"></a>

We've created a sample go link for you at `go/welcome`.

Open up a new tab and try it out!

### Create Your Own Go Link <a href="#create" id="create"></a>

Type in `go/[keyword]` to create your first go link! You'll be redirected to the Glinks application to create the go link.

### Pin Glinks Button <a href="#pin" id="pin"></a>

#### Share with Your Team <a href="#share-with-team" id="share-with-team"></a>

Get your team to download the extension; all go links from the same registered email domain will be shared!
